I have no idea why, but you wanted more. Our session with Portland musician and ravenous toe-nail collector, Jon Chick, ran around 6 hours. Our first installment of this session, Episode 05, is the most downloaded episode we've had so far This episode is the edited remainder of that session. I edited out a lot. So once again back is the incredible, the rhyme animal Jon Chick.

My friend Casey C-P is the first return guest to "I Hate Music," simply because he infected me with an insatiable desire to consume everything King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have created. In this episode, we try something a bit different. We listen to King Gizzard's "Polygondwanaland" album in it's entirety and discuss why we love this band, and the repercussions of this love.

Erik Moggridge is a guitarist and vocalist who is perhaps best known for his solo work under the name Aerial Ruin, but for long time followers of metal you may remember him from Old Grandad or Metal Blade recording artist Epidemic. From time to time, Erik also lends his vocal talents to Pacific Northwest Doom giants Bell Witch and you can hear him on their new epic "Mirror Reaper." Today we shared music, reminisced about sharing the stage and debated traditional metal.

Portland native Jon Chick has been writing songs and playing guitar for many years. His band Summer Ono made waves throughout the Pacific Northwest and self released two fantastic albums. I invited Jon over and before we knew it, we had recorded 6 hours of material. His visit will be split into multiple episodes, this being the first. Listen in as we discuss why Queen are fascists, why hard panning instruments is brilliant and Jon exposes me to a different side of Pete Townsend.

Martti Hill, drummer of Pacific Northwest black metal band Barrowlands, joins Jason to find a mutual respect for breakdancing Ninjas, bass solos and jazz death. Martti plays select cuts from his eclectic musical palette that extends from '90s metal bands, to shock rock icons to unknown demo bands.
